When President Trump
uses metaphors fools parse
them literally

but when he speaks plain
truth those clowns interpret that
figuratively.

The media take
Trump’s jokes and flippancies far
too seriously

whilst treating his
serious announcements as
flippant, wilfully.

Wise folk, as ever,
would do well if they disdain
such perversity.
